GAINING CONFIDENCE IN NUTRITION

hi there!
I'm McKinley Murray and my husband and I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We have a WILD5 year old baby boy a very sweet 3 year old little girl, and a one year old boy! We enjoy being outdoors, baking, and spending time together. I received my Bachelor's degree in Marriage & Family Studies from BYU-Idaho and have my Precision Nutrition certification. I love all things exercise and food! I was once a marathon runner, then avid CrossFitter, and now I'm into bodybuilding. This allows me to tailor my experience to whatever your lifestyle and goals may be. I've been tracking macros and teaching others about nutrition for almost 8 years. I'm excited to get to know you!
My Story
Growing up, I was always a "thicker", but athletic girl. I played competitive soccer, basketball, and ran track. I wasn't a long distance runner at the time but did my first full marathon my senior year after my brother talked me into it. It took us 6 hours....
After graduating high school, I went to school at BYUI where I routinely went to the campus gym. I enjoyed working out, but was most comfortable in the cardio section and hadn't ever spent much time in the weight area. After my first semester as school I left for a mission in Sydney, Australia where I served for 18 months. During that 18 months, I gained 40lbs.
Coming home from Australia I lived at home for a few months before going back to BYUI. I reconnected with my now-husband and I knew we'd be getting married within the year. I wanted to feel good on my wedding day so I started eating "healthier" and running a lot. I became an avid runner, having run almost 17 half marathons and 3 full marathons in just two years.
I lost a lot of weight running (I was even smaller than before I left for a mission), but I didn't know anything about macros or weightlifting. After being married for two years, I found CrossFit and was introduced to macro counting and it changed EVERYTHING for me. My composition changed, I was able to put on (and maintain) muscle and overall I felt stronger and more toned than I ever had.
Three years have passed since then and I'm fitter and healthier than I ever was, even after having a baby 18 months ago. I'm now passionate about educating others on how they can find confidence with their own nutrition and win back their ability to do hard things.
